VIS Committee members are the sunbeams that help DAR “Rise and Shine for America”. 100 hours of service in areas of data entry or internet use in promotion of DAR work will qualify you for this pin. Please refer to the VIS Committee page for specifics on service. Approval required.

The Volunteer Information Specialsts Committee members help with websites, social media presence, newsletters, award templates, and other projects. The qualifications to earn the VIS pin, bar, and stars are defined in terms of a “service requirement.” A service requirement is 100 hours. Once you have your earned your VIS pin, you may choose to earn a gold bar, the blue one star enamel bar, or the white five star bar to attach to the VIS pin. Again approval is required for purchase.
