Wear this pin proudly to honor and preserve the legacy of your patriot ancestor! Members are eligible to purchase Ancestor Bars engraved with the names of Patriot ancestors from approved applications, approved supplementals and ancestors "inherited" through the NSDAR Inheritance Project. Most new members start with the basic insignia which consists of the Chapter Bar, Ancestor Bar, and the Official Insignia. Approval required.

Required engraving with the name of your approved ancestor (to include approved spelling) appears on the front of the pin. Both original and supplemental bars may be worn on the rbbon.
Please NOTE: Only the approved military rank and name may be engraved. There is no engraving for ranks like PS and CS, state abbreviations or ancestor numbers.
