There are many opportunities for our DAR members to make minimum donations to any of the various "Friends of" funds to earn “friend” status and purchase that fund's corresponding pin to wear on the official Insignia ribbon.
Once a member has made an additional minimum donation to a particular fund either as a single donation or as a Sustaining Supporter, she has earned the status of "Best Friend" and may purchase the Best Friend Pin. She is also qualified to purchase this optional Best Friend Engraved Bar with the name of the fund supported by her donation. Only when subsequent minimum donations are made can additional Best Friend Engravable Bars be purchased. Only 5 bars per Best Friend Pin may be added. All donations accrue and are credited to your Heritage Club total. Approval is required to purchase this bar.
