Appointed State Parliamentarians are the only members who may wear this State Parliamentarian Pin. The State Parliamentarian pin is the only pin worn on the left side and is not worn with other ribbons/pins during her service as the Appointed State Parliamentarian.
Eligibility: To qualify for the State Parliamentarian pin, the current State Regent must verify the member has served or is currently serving as the State Parliamentarian and either:
- The DAR Leadership Training Committee must verify that the member parliamentarian has viewed the parliamentary procedure training available from the committee and passed an exam by 80%, or
- Be a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP), or a credentialed member of NAP or the American Institute of Parliamentarians (AIP).
Approval is required for purchase.
After service as State Parliamentarian, this pin may only be worn on the official Insignia ribbon according to the most current "Placement of DAR Insignia and Pins on Official Ribbon" document found on the Insignia Committee webpage.
This gold-filled pin measures 1 1/4" x 1".
