As an extension of the DAR Museum Outreach Committee, DAR Museum Docents provide a valuable link between our visitors and the collection as they share the Museum Staff's interpretations of the material culture and social history of pre-industrial America. After completing 40 hours of training and 60 hours of service volunteering as a docent at the DAR Museum, these certified volunteers offer guided tours of the museum.
Certified DAR Museum Docents are eligible to purchase this stately DAR Museum Docent Pin. Approval is required for purchase.
This pin may only be worn by DAR members on the official Insignia ribbon according to the most current "Placement of DAR Insignia and Pins on Official Ribbon" document found on the Insignia Committee webpage.
This gold-filled pin measures 3/4" x 7/8".
Bars are available for 300 hours of service, 1,500 hours of service, and serving in a Leader position.
