The Ol' Shavano Chapter in San Antonio, Texas was chartered in 1958. The chapter pin depicts a 19th century stagecoach passing a Lone Star flag, the state flag of Texas. Ol' Shavano Chapter took its name from an historic wagon train and stagecoach stop that was located near the chapter's original meeting place as well as near members' homes in the Shavano community. The Shavano stagecoach station, which was located about 12 miles north of downtown San Antonio, was likely the first watering stop on the old Boerne Road.
