The DAR Insignia is the official symbol of the National Society and should always be treated with dignity and respect.
Every Daughter should consider adding the Miniature Insignia on the narrow ribbon to her collection of DAR accessories. In its understated beauty, the Miniature Insignia on the narrow ribbon is an attractive and elegant addition to formal wear and when it is not practical to wear your official Insignia ribbon. The Miniature Insignia on the narrow ribbon is treated with the same respect and must be worn following the same dress code and situational guidelines as the official Insignia ribbon and pins. No other pins are ever added to the Miniature Insignia's narrow ribbon. Approval is required to purchase this item.
The non-magnetic Miniature Insignia’s narrow ribbon measures 3” in length before the Insignia is added. The gold-filled miniature Insignia measures 5/8" x 3/4".
You may wish to consider purchasing the non-magnetic Miniature Insignia with a diamond on the narrow ribbon.
First established by the National Society in 1890, the Insignia Committee is the oldest committee in DAR. To learn more about our Insignia and its proper uses, please visit the Insignia Committee webpage.
