The DAR History Award Medal is a prestigious award intended to honor an individual whose study and promotion of American history on the local, regional, or national level has significantly advanced our understanding of our nation's past. The criterion for this award is strict. Contact the Office of the Historian General for a set of instructions before beginning the application process. Nominees must demonstrate significant contributions beyond those required for any paid employment.
Congratulations to your chapter’s DAR History award recipient. Please upload the nomination approval letter you received from the Historian General to order the medal. No other documentation is required.
