Charter members include all organizing members of a new DAR chapter. This pin may only be purchased and worn by members who either join a chapter during its first year of being organize either by application or transfer. Approval is required to purchase.
If a woman is a member of the new chapter on the date the chapter organizes per confirmation by the National Board of Management, she should purchase the Charter Chapter Member Pin with the Organizing Member Bar.
This pin may only be worn by DAR members on the official Insignia ribbon according to the most current "Placement of DAR Insignia and Pins on Official Ribbon" document found on the Insignia Committee webpage.
This gold-filled pin measures 1 3/4" x 1".
