Ordinary Equality is an introduction to a select group of DAR members who were active in a variety of reform activities during the Progressive Era. Culminating in the admission of American women to the voting booth, the time period is remembered for increased opportunities for women’s education, the founding of women’s clubs, health and safety reform in the areas of housing and medicine, and an increase in philanthropic efforts. This publication was compiled by Tracy Robinson, Director of Archives and History, NSDAR and was edited by Courtney Peter.
