Donations to the DAR Membership Challenge benefit the Society's Genealogy Department and assist with processing applications and supplemental applications by helping provide resources, hiring additional staff, and securing online resources.
Members who donate $500 or more to the DAR Membership Challenge are eligible to purchase and wear this DAR Membership Challenge pin on the official DAR Insignia ribbon. This pin may be worn off the ribbon as well. Members who wish to purchase this pin may make a single donation of at least $500, or as a Sustaining Supporter, designate donations that total a minimum of $500 to the DAR Membership Challenge. Approval is required to purchase this pin.
When this donor pin is worn by DAR members on the official Insignia ribbon, it must be placed according to the most current "Placement of DAR Insignia and Pins on Official Ribbon" document found on the Insignia Committee webpage.
When not worn on the official ribbon, DAR members may only wear this donation pin as a brooch, not on a right-side ribbon. When non-members wear this donation pin, they should demonstrate pride in all DAR stands for by wearing it only when dressed nicely and in a respectful manner.
This gold-filled pin measures 1 1/4" x 1 1/4".
The Membership Committee supports DAR by recruiting new members and facilitates opportunities that engage existing members to encourage their enthusiastic and lifelong active membership in our amazing Society. For more information, please visit the DAR Membership Committee webpage.
