Silent Auction – Vintage Insignia Pins

Auction Duration

  • Start Date: March 24, 2026
  • End Date: March 26, 2026
  • Bidding Window: Open for 72 hours
  • Bid Updates: Posted twice daily (morning and afternoon) to showcase current highest bids in real time. Posted three times posted on Day 3.                                                                                                                                      

Bidding Process

  • Bid Submission
    • Subject Line: Silent Auction Bid – Pin Name AND Item#
    • Body of Email:
      • Full Name
      • Member Number
      • Contact Email and Phone
      • Item Name / Item Number
      • Bid Amount (in USD)
  • Bid Acknowledgement
    • Auto-reply email confirms receipt with timestamp and item reference.
    • Example:
      “Thank you for your bid on the Vintage Chapter Regent Pin. Your bid has been received and recorded at 2:15 PM on November 1. Current high bids will be updated twice daily.”
  • Bid Updates
    • Updates posted to shop.dar.org (no bidder names, only bid amounts).
    • Example format:
      • Item #1 – $185
      • Item #2 – $220
      • Item #3 – $145
  • Confidentiality
    • Bidders’ names and contact details remain confidential.
    • Only bid amounts and item numbers will be publicly shared.

 

Winner Notification

  • At auction close, the highest bidder per item will receive a confirmation email with payment instructions.
  • Winners must complete payment within 24 hours of notification.
  • If payment is not received, the next highest bidder will be contacted.

 

Payment & Fulfillment

  • Payments processed via Big Commerce OR Agiliron POS.
  • Items will ship once payment is confirmed.
  • Shipping confirmation will include tracking information.
