This is the story of the American Revolution as told by the children that were there and took an active part. They fought in all the major battles, and some were eyewitnesses to the hanging of Major Andre, the surrender at Yorktown, and the Battle of Bunker Hill.

These children share personal stories of their encounters with Washington, Lafayette, Arnold, and other famous people in the Revolution.  They provide a rare insight into battles, sailing the Atlantic, spying on the enemy, and the reasons they joined the war.

Most of these stories are taken from the soldier's actual pension records, which were written nearly two hundred years ago.
